thatgirlfromtheoc: i think every single girl in our generation needs to read these three words. respect is the most important part of life. people aren’t going to respect you if you don’t respect yourself. oh, that guy will drunkenly hook up with you if you’re dressed in barely no clothes? yeah, he will, but he won’t bring you home to your parents. you think it’s cool putting pictures everywhere of you doing drugs and drinking? it’s not. it shows you’re willing to put yourself under a dangerous influence. those “YOLO” experience you have, they’re not cool either. YOLO isn’t about going out and putting yourself in harm’s way because you’re young… you only live once is supposed to be a motto for you to realize that life is precious and you’re only given one shot at it, you need to go out into this world and make a difference. you were put on this earth to make a difference and the only way others are going to respect you enough to let you make a difference is if you respect yourself.
